Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Oregon is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in their absence.

The position emphasizes supervising service levels, handling orders, returns, invoicing, and ensuring smooth daily procedures, with fluency in multiple languages encouraged. Prior auto parts experience is valued and growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain RSS Certification
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges, issue refunds accurately, and stage returns properly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day end procedures, secure deposits, and check security as required.
