Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders, and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returns properly.
• Ensure merchandise, core charges and warranties are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team adheres to schedule, approvals for deviations, and proper clocking-in/out.
