Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in absence of store leadership.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. The position emphasizes team leadership, customer service excellence, and efficient handling of store processes including transfers, special orders, invoicing, and end-of-day procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems knowledge (desired).
• ASE Certification (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Ensure phone calls are answered per policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and accurately.
• Process returns and exchanges and issue refunds correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, deposits, and security measures.
