Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, with potential shift management in their absence.

This role emphasizes frontline leadership, accurate cashiering, order processing, returns, and enforcing company policies; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to assist a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desirable: retail sales experience in auto parts.
• Desirable: automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• Desirable: ASE Certification and Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to provide excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure program execution.
• Answer the telephone according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders promptly and inform customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct methods and stage merchandise appropriately.
• Invoice all merchandise including core charges and warranties before it leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure schedules are followed, deviations approved by management, and clock-in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; manage deposits and security.
