Velocity Credit Union in Austin, TX is seeking a bilingual Relationship Banker to serve members at the North Austin Branch. This role blends teller duties with foundational banker skills to deliver personalized service and build lasting relationships.

You will assist with day-to-day financial needs, educate members on digital tools, and offer solutions to simplify their finances, contributing to a culture of empathy and community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of financial institution, banking, or credit union operations experience supporting customers in person or over the phone.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service required, and 6 months of cash-handling preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual fluency in written and oral communication in both English and Spanish is required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills and proficiency in using common office applications and office equipment.
• Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management skills include prioritizing multiple responsibilities and organizing work tasks.
• Experience in controlling negotiable instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
• Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
• Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
• Flexibility to work branch hours, including Saturdays.
