Job summary

Velocity Credit Union in Austin, TX is seeking a Teller at our North Austin Branch. You will be the friendly face handling financial transactions and educating members on Velocity’s products to improve their financial well-being.

The ideal candidate brings cash handling, customer service experience, and strong communication, with flexibility to work Saturdays and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months cash handling and customer service experience.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in using common office applications.
• Experience controlling negotiable instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and decision-making skills.
• Effective time management including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks.
• Skilled in diffusing escalations in a positive manner and effectively resolving member concerns.
• Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and promote teamwork.
• Flexibility to work branch hours including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• As our members first point of contact, you'll be the pleasant, professional, and friendly face of Velocity, providing exceptional service and leading by example, conducting financial transactions, and educating our members about products and services that will enhance their financial well-being.
• Provide friendly, professional service and conduct financial transactions while educating members about Velocity products and services.
• Participate in problem resolution and escalate when necessary to ensure member satisfaction.
