Job summary

Ampact’s Reading Corps is recruiting a Reading Tutor in Minnesota to help students become strong readers at local schools. You'll deliver proven activities and be coached along the way.

Each school day, you’ll work with pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach. This role emphasizes growth, service, and community impact, with part-time 25 hours/week options for the 2026-27 year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
