Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is seeking a Reading Tutor to support students in local schools in Minnesota. You’ll deliver proven reading activities, run 20-minute tutoring with pairs of students, and track progress with an on-site coach.

Commitment includes 35 hours weekly during the 2026-27 school year, with daytime hours, Monday–Friday, and possible part-time slots at 25 hours. We provide training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
