Job summary

CSL in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Pheresis Technician responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process, and for assisting with autopheresis setup. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms and document incidents using the PDA.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean work environment, ensuring accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system, and following all HSE and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA; link equipment to donors.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
