Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center technician to prepare the donor and area for pheresis, set up the autopheresis device, monitor the donor, and respond to alarms. You will document incidents with a PDA and maintain accurate donor data according to SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ months in medical settings, basic math, and may require bilingual skills. Safety procedures and local regulations must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations
• Bilingual skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any donor reaction during or after the pheresis process and notifies staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process and to link equipment to the donor.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintains clean, efficient work environment and ensures sufficient operating supplies; follows HSE and OSHA policies.
