Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Technician in Houston to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process, and to monitor the donor and machine throughout the procedure. You will respond to alarms, disconnect the donor at the end, and maintain safety and data integrity.

You will also document incidents with the PDA, ensure proper linkage of equipment to donors, and help maintain a clean, compliant work environment according to SOPs and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA and link equipment to the donor using the system.
