Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Patient Services Representative for the Florham Park Multispecialty department. The role requires bilingual English/Mandarin abilities to support patients, coordinate with providers, and manage scheduling and clerical tasks.

Day shift, 40 hours weekly, with occasional Saturdays. You will assist with check-in/out, answer questions, and maintain patient records while ensuring safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in English/Mandarin required.
• Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates a clear understanding of patient satisfaction and safety.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient check-in and check-out functions.
• Answers routine questions in person and over the telephone.
• Performs basic clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting and distributing mail.
• Creates and maintains health record information, files and organizes as needed.
• Coordinates with insurance providers and handles pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
