Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Recent customer service experience is required.
• Healthcare office experience and Spanish fluency are preferred.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
• Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays or deductibles.
• Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
• Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.
