Job summary

Lancaster Family Health Center in Salem, OR is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage multi-line scheduling, verify patient info, and coordinate appointments across care teams. The role supports clinic operations and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include scheduling with providers, updating demographics, and coordinating with the Patient Benefits Coordinator for benefits options. Evening/weekend hours may be required, with full-time commitment and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of office, admin, patient care, call center or customer service experience.
• ALTA score of 9 earns bilingual differential compensation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at ALTA 9.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients, providers, and staff.
• Epic systems knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-line scheduling phone queue and transfer calls as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments for medical and integrated providers.
• Verify and update patient demographic information.
• Notify patients of schedule adjustments and update schedules accordingly.
• Coordinate with Patient Benefits Coordinator for benefits/insurance options.
• Manage scheduling work queues (cancellations, no-shows, recalls).
• Coordinate with PBCs as appropriate.
• Make outbound calls for registries and outreach.
• Provide backup support to front office staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
