Job summary

Institutes of Health in Anaheim is seeking an administrative coordinator to support our multidisciplinary clinic focused on chronic pain and prescription drug abuse. You will interface with referring clinics, physicians, insurance adjusters, and patients to streamline referrals.

The role requires a High School diploma, strong writing, and bilingual English/Spanish. In-person, full-time; benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with referring medical clinics, physicians, insurance adjusters and patients.
• As part of a multidisciplinary team, support physicians in delivery of care to patients.
• Registering and scheduling of all new referrals
• Obtaining authorizations for treatment.
• Obtaining medical records.
• Verifies patient information, history taking, confirmation of current condition.
• Arranging patient transportation/interpreters if necessary
• Updates and verifies patient information in our EMR system
• Providing support to coworkers.
• To be crosstrained and back up to coworkers
