Job summary

Institutes of Health in Riverside, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented referral coordinator to interface with clinics, physicians, insurers and patients. You will register and schedule referrals, obtain authorizations, gather medical records and verify patient information in our EMR system.

This full‑time, in‑person role requires high school graduation, bilingual English/Spanish written and verbal communication, and a team‑oriented, positive attitude to support colleagues across an interdisciplinary

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with referring medical clinics, physicians, insurance adjusters and patients.
• Supports physicians in the delivery of care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Registering and scheduling of all new referrals
• Obtaining authorizations for treatment.
• Obtaining medical records.
• Verifies patient information, history taking, confirmation of current condition.
• Arranging patient transportation/interpreters if necessary
• Updates and verifies patient information in our EMR system
• Providing support to coworkers.
• To be cross-trained and back up to co-workers
