Job summary

Valley View Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Representative in the Patient Financial Services department. This full-time, day-shift role has no weekends and is benefit-eligible.

Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred, with healthcare terminology knowledge and MS Office proficiency valued. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, two years of office experience, and a background in admissions or hospital billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent; college or business courses preferred
• Two years of office experience required
• Admissions or billing background in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
• Insurance, banking, or accounts receivable/collections experience preferred
• Customer service experience required (retail, hotel/motel, banking)
• Working knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with questions or issues related to the revenue cycle using interpersonal skills
• Handle calls not related to revenue cycle to ensure patient satisfaction
• Communicate in a compassionate and professional manner with revenue cycle knowledge
