Summit Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative for CityMD to warmly welcome patients and coordinate registrations. You will handle intake, verify insurance, and answer inquiries with urgency and kindness, ensuring a timely patient turnaround.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a high-volume setting. Bilingual skills are a plus, and compensation reflects industry standards for hourly staff.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency with fast keyboarding (about 55 wpm).
• Flexible/adaptable to evolving environment.
• Passion for helping others in healthcare.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills required or preferred based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Accurately enters/updates patient information in system.
• Assisting patients with completion of paperwork.
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records.
• Answering phone calls and patient questions promptly and politely.
• Processing insurance information and verifying eligibility; liaising with Billing.
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately.
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Informing site manager of waiting room wait times and inquiries.
