Job summary

WakeMed seeks a Patient Account Representative to accurately schedule WakeMed Faculty Physicians’ appointments, and identify patients needing authorization or financial counseling. The role requires fluent English and Spanish and involves data entry into the IDX Practice Management System.

You will support the organization’s mission through professional communication and efficient patient service. Hours are Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–12:00pm in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
• Experience with accounting/finance and third-party payors preferred
• Experience in scheduling and data entry into practice management systems

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedule WakeMed Faculty Physicians' appointments and identify patients needing authorization or financial counseling
• Enter appointment, demographic, and insurance data into the IDX Practice Management System
• Support department needs and maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues
