Job summary

WakeMed seeks a Patient Account Representative to accurately schedule WakeMed Faculty Physicians’ appointments, and identify patients needing authorization or financial counseling. The role requires fluent English and Spanish and involves data entry into the IDX Practice Management System.

You will support the organization’s mission through professional communication and efficient patient service. Hours are Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–12:00pm in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
• Experience with accounting/finance and third-party payors preferred
• Experience in scheduling and data entry into practice management systems

Responsibilities

Position Information

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for accurate scheduling of all WakeMed Faculty Physicians practice appointments and identification of patients requiring authorization or financial counselor assistance. Position is responsible for accurate entry of appointment, demographic and insurance data into the IDX Practice Management System. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and management of WakeMed Faculty Physicians. This position requires an individual that is fluent, both orally and in the written form, in English and Spanish. Employee will perform all the duties of this position either in English or Spanish, as required by the clients and departmental needs. This may require the employee to perform simple translation tasks, and also may require interpretation at the basic or intermediate level.

1 Year Accounting/Finance - Third Party Payors Required - And 1 Year Scheduling Preferred

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Associate's Degree Business Administration Or Related Field Preferred
