Qualifications

• Requires fluency in English for effective communication with patients, families and staff.

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EMTALA, HIPAA and related regulatory compliance in Admissions and handling of medical records.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with patients and families.
• Identify and triage patients upon arrival to ensure patient safety and proper identification.
• Answer calls professionally, record messages and communicate with medical staff.
• Obtain signatures on required forms and consents; collect demographic information accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility, and obtain authorizations as required by plans.
