Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a remote Patient Support Specialist within our Sonexus Access and Patient Support team. You will manage the care process from benefit verification to medication delivery, ensuring timely access and a positive patient experience.

Fluent in Spanish and English, you will collaborate with physicians, insurers and specialty pharmacies, assist with prior authorization and appeals, and help patients understand coverage and costs. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of industry experience with patient-facing or high touch customer interaction experience preferred.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English required.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid & Commercial payer policies preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication, mediation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire care process from benefit verification to medication delivery, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
• Conduct benefit verifications and collaborate with physicians, SPs, insurers for seamless care.
• Assist with insurance, prior authorizations, and appeal requirements and outcomes.
• Explain insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs to patients and guide appeals if needed.
• Resolve patient questions regarding status of assistance requests.
