The Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council (SMOC) Health Services is hiring an Office Support/Patient Access Representative in Worthington, MN. The role focuses on creating a welcoming patient experience, handling front desk operations, patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and records maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English/Spanish, have strong customer service skills, and be comfortable with MS Office and EHR systems while upholding

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Minnesota Driver’s License required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in a medical office or patient access setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front office operations and patient registration.
• Appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
• Maintain and update patient records.
• Assist with clinic inventory and laboratory quality control activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
• Support clinical staff across Health Services.
