Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers and to support store management in daily tasks.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting service programs, assisting professional customers, handling transactions, processing exchanges/returns, and supporting stock and planogram updates. Occasional delivery driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Promote and follow company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, etc.).
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store phone calls per policy and look up parts, quote prices, and suggest related items and the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Process cash/credit card transactions and manage cash drawer securely.
• Handle exchanges and returns per company policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, cleaning, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks: stock adjustments, inventory counts, etc.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
