Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management with tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will value strong customer engagement and accurate transactions.

The role covers greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, processing payments, handling returns, and maintaining store appearance. Training will cover company programs and service processes.

Qualifications

• Must provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly and assist in merchandise selection.
• Promote all company service programs and related selling initiatives.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers as needed.
• Complete required company training for the position.
• Answer store phone calls per policy, lookup parts, quote prices, and promote Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges/returns for credit per policy and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, and fronting.
• Perform daily tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other test equipment after training and company requirements.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries tests, headlight work) as allowed by state/local law.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
