Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers and assist store management with tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and the role includes handling cash, returns, and in-store services as required.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, quoting prices, stocking and organizing shelves, and supporting professional customers. Training and potential for career growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Answer store phone calls, look up parts and quote prices per policy.
• Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Handle exchanges and returns per company policies.
• Assist with planogram updates, stocking, and cleaning.
• Operate brake lathe and other test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries) as allowed by state laws.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
