Job summary

Self-Help Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative for our San Diego, CA team. The role focuses on initiating conversations to identify member needs and delivering outstanding service to maintain strong account relationships.

You will handle deposits, loan payments, payrolls, transfers, and cash drawer duties while ensuring accuracy and security. Strong teamwork and bilingual communication are valued in a supportive community-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
• Minimum one year experience in financial institution or other customer service industry preferred.
• Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred.
• Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member account relationships by providing excellent member service.
• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, manual payrolls, and account transfers.
• Maintain drawer cash levels within prescribed amounts.
• Post and Log night, ATM, and mail deposits. (Part of dual-control team.).
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
