Job summary

Mutual Security Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative to deliver exceptional in-person and phone service, handle routine transactions, and guide members through product options to meet their needs.

The role blends transactional service with consultative sales in a community-focused environment. Strong communication and accuracy are essential for day-to-day operations and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Type and use general office equipment including computer terminals.
• Knowledge of MSR/Teller procedures and credit union philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide routine information per policies; direct to appropriate departments.
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and balance inquiries; educate members on access channels.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve account discrepancies.
• Open new accounts; maintain confidentiality of member information.
• Transform service transactions into sales opportunities; cross-sell credit union services.
• Meet sales goals; promote mortgage/financial services with partners when appropriate.
• Balance vault, ATM, and end-of-day records; maintain MSR/Teller accuracy.
• Participate in community functions to promote the credit union’s brand and community roots.
