Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Vietnamese required.
• 1–2 years of call center or related customer service experience.
• 1–2 years of Medicare benefits knowledge.
• Experience in the healthcare, insurance or pharmacy industry is desirable.
• Ability to stay calm in charged situations.
• Data entry and general computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to handle high call volumes with good service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Explain benefits and plan options in person, by email or by phone to members, families, providers and caregivers.
• Follow up with members to clarify issues, determine causes, and resolve them.
• Escalate member issues to management or other departments when needed.
• Meet or exceed quality, productivity, and attendance standards.
• Respond to members and providers via phone, email, and in-person interactions about benefits and eligibility.
• Take ownership of issues and guide solutions for members.
• Increase member satisfaction by timely follow-up and resolution.
• Participate in member calling projects such as retention.
• Follow policies and report workflow problems; participate in meetings and training.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
• Document interactions in the computer system.
• Collaborate with other departments as required.
• Meet attendance and performance goals.
