Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Medical Receptionist for our OB/GYN in Yakima, WA.

You will be the friendly first contact, greet patients, manage logs, assist with translations, and support scheduling and data entry to ensure smooth clinic operations. We offer a 1.0 FTE schedule, bilingual differential for English/Spanish, and comprehensive benefits including 100% employer-paid health insurance, a 403(b), and PTO.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year's receptionist experience in a clinic preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with ALTA score of 9.
• Ability to prioritize work amidst interruptions.
• Professional interaction with patients, Providers and staff.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing.

Aufgaben

• Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages for the clinic.
• Greet patients and maintain logs; provide translation as needed.
• Collects data, creates and updates patient charts and registrations.
• Schedules appointments and notifies providers of no-shows or cancellations.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and answers patient questions on plans.
• Responds to patient questions in person, by phone, and via patient portal.
• May perform routine billing tasks and post encounters; issue end-of-day reports.
• Review cash box receipts and reconcile daily totals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
