Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience as a Receptionist in a clinic preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at ALTA score 9
• Ability to prioritize work and multitask amid interruptions
• Professional interaction with patients, Providers and staff
• Excellent customer service
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsabilités

• Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages for the clinic
• Greet patients and maintain logs; notify appropriate person of arrival; provide translation as needed
• Ensure complete data and forms; create and update patient charts in the computer
• Schedule patient appointments; notify Providers of no-shows and cancellations; adjust schedule
• Verify insurance eligibility and file documentation; assist with questions on plans
• Respond to patient questions via in-person, phone, and patient portals
• May perform routine billing tasks and end-of-day reports
• Review cash receipts and reconcile daily cash box
• Perform other duties as assigned
