Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics and Spine in San Jose, CA is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Receptionist. You’ll welcome patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays and deposits, and schedule appointments with the appropriate physician.

You’ll scan IDs and documents, obtain signatures, process authorizations and interpreter or transportation needs, and handle daily front desk duties and waiting room flow. This role requires strong data entry, attention to detail, and at least 1 year in a medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience at a medical practice preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, collect required data, insure and co-pays, and deposits.
• Scan IDs and insurance cards; print and obtain signatures on documents.
• Schedule appointments with the correct physician.
• Obtain authorizations, interpreters, or transportation for appointments as needed.
• Respond to front desk alert notes and complete daily paperwork.
• Scan daily documents such as policies, privacies, authorizations and referrals.
• Sort incoming faxes and route to the correct department.
• Oversee the waiting room and inform patients if MD/PA/NP is running behind.
• Travel 50% between Capitola and Watsonville.
• Additional duties as assigned.
