Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley in San Jose, CA seeks a Medical Front Office Receptionist to greet patients, check them in/out, schedule appointments, answer calls, and collect co-payments in a fast-paced clinic.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to assist a diverse patient base. This full-time, non-exempt role supports a Patient-Centered Health Home model with a team-based approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Administration Assistant certificate or similar preferred.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) preferred.
• Prior experience in medical front office or customer service with at least 1 year preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA and privacy rules preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and medical office software.

Responsabilités

• Assist front office with daily patient pre-registration.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel medical appointments; perform callbacks.
• Enter insurance information and collect co-payments.
• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain filing systems and operate office equipment.
• Follow HIPAA and privacy rules at all times.
• Provide backup support within department areas as needed.
• Attend department meetings and participate in team-based care.
