CVS Health in Joliet, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant at Oak Street Health to gather essential patient information and support providers in delivering care. The MA will assist with screenings, vaccinations, and routine testing during appointments.

You will collaborate with care teams, manage EMR entries, coordinate with laboratories and external providers, and help keep clinic operations running smoothly. This is a full-time position with benefits and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• State or national certification or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets.
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics.
• US work authorization.

Responsabilités

• Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients promptly, take vital signs, complete screenings and medication reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records, etc).
• May administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests per state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment; request medical records as needed.
• Conduct routine quality control checks and assist in maintaining center lab.
