Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (Bilingual Spanish preferred) to gather clinical information, support providers, and participate in a collaborative care team. The MA will manage patient flow, collect vitals, and perform screenings, with opportunities to support vaccinations and point-of-care testing as needed.

The role emphasizes accuracy, flexibility, and strong communication within a patient-centered environment. A valid MA credential, CPR/BLS, and EMR exposure are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or graduate of an accredited MA program.
• 1 year of MA experience.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• EMR experience and computer literacy (Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel).
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center demographics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and timely rooming.
• Record vital signs, screenings and medication reviews.
• Inventory and stock exam rooms; support telephonic patient requests.
• Administer vaccines or point-of-care tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR and participate in care team meetings.
