Job summary

Oak Street Health, partnered with CVS Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians by gathering medical information, performing screenings, and assisting in clinical duties. You will work closely with care teams to ensure accurate data and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient throughput, vital signs, screenings, vaccination administration when allowed, EMR data import, and coordination with outside providers.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible, energetic, detail-oriented and capable of solving problems.
• Able to build relationships with Oak Street Health members and collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow; room patients, take vital signs, complete screenings and medication reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Handle telephonic requests for lab results and records.
• Administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings and discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers.
• Maintain infection control measures and center lab checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
