Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX seeks a qualified Interpretive Services Program Specialist for full-time day shift in Corporate Compliance. You will coordinate and supervise interpretive services for LEP patients across DHR facilities.

The role requires ASL and Spanish fluency, English communication excellence, and ADA compliance knowledge. You will manage interpreter scheduling, billing oversight, and in-house translations while supporting corporate compliance goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with ADA and an interpreting setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Basic computer skills – familiarity with Windows-based software.
• Understand processes for identifying qualified interpreters and reporting usage/expenditure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interpreter services and ensure smooth operations across facilities.
• Schedule in-person interpreters and video remote interpretation (VRI) for LEP patients.
• Oversee department billing by calculating charges and following up on invoices.
• Develop programs creating a supportive LEP environment with staff and patients.
• Serve as information and referral source on interpretation for patients and staff.
• Assist with in-house document translations (Eng-Spanish) and audits.
• Support corporate compliance goals as needed.
