Job summary

World Relief is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the primary contact for refugees, immigrants, and other eligible clients in Illinois. You will conduct intake assessments, determine program eligibility, and connect clients to services and resources, including public benefits applications and renewals.

The role collaborates with IDHS caseworkers to ensure timely access to benefits, maintain documentation, and promote client stability and self-sufficiency through effective service

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with case management or social services is preferred.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake, eligibility screening, enrollment, and orientation to programs.
• Assist clients with applications, renewals, and case maintenance for public benefits (TANF, RCA, SNAP, Medicaid, All Kids, SSI, AABD).
• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate case management and advocacy to help clients access benefits.
