Job summary

World Relief is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the primary contact for refugees and immigrants, performing intake assessments and determining program eligibility in Illinois. The role supports clients with public benefits applications, renewals, and case management, coordinating with IDHS to ensure timely access to benefits.

This limited-term position runs through 5/31/2026 and requires strong intercultural communication, data accuracy, and collaboration with partners to promote client

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith and commitment to World Relief's mission
• Minimum two (2) years of immigrant case management or related experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to interact with diverse clients respectfully and effectively

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake, eligibility screening, enrollment, and orientation to programs and services.
• Assist clients with applications, renewals, and case maintenance for public benefits programs (TANF, RCA, SNAP, Medicaid, All Kids, SSI, AABD).
• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate case management and advocacy to access benefits.
• Coordinate with IDHS staff to resolve cases and ensure timely service delivery.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with requirements.
