Job summary

World Relief is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as a primary contact for refugees, immigrants, and eligible clients. You will conduct intake assessments, determine program eligibility, and connect clients to services, including benefits applications and renewals.

This limited-term role supports case management and advocacy, working closely with IDHS to ensure timely access to benefits. The position requires strong organizational skills, client advocacy, and cross-cultural communication.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Two+ years of immigrant case management or related experience.
• Ability to coordinate services and advocate for clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake and eligibility screening for available programs.
• Assist clients with public benefits applications and renewals.
• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate case management and referrals.
• Coordinate with IDHS staff to resolve issues and monitor benefits.
• Maintain accurate case notes and program documentation.
• Collaborate with partners to promote client stability and self-sufficiency.
• Support volunteers and interns and participate in trainings.
