BI Incorporated in Annandale, VA, is seeking a case management professional to support the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP). The role involves direct engagement with participants, coordinating services, and ensuring compliance with DHS contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of case management or customer service experience, and be fluent in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; degree in sociology, psychology, social work, criminal justice or related field preferred.
• At least two years of customer service or case management experience; experience in law, social work, detention, corrections or multicultural work preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid driver's license required for home visits.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must live in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years (military or study abroad included).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, community contacts, government officials and participants.
• Demonstrated judgment and calm temperament; ability to defuse hostile or unstable situations.
• Ability to deal tactfully with the public.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem solving ability.
• Ability to work with multicultural contacts with sensitivity.
• Basic knowledge of immigration laws, regulations and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to interpret electronic monitoring messages and daily summary reports.
• Good typing skills for data entry and maintaining records.
• Ability to operate computers and software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Develops, updates, and coordinates case management and service plans for ISAP participants per regulations and requirements.
• Maintains accurate and complete case records from entry to release; proactively manages cases.
• Conducts intake interviews and orientation sessions within contractual timeframes.
• Installs electronic monitoring equipment on ISAP participants and monitors compliance.
• Assists participants with acquiring travel documents; maintains logs of travel documents.
• Evaluates English proficiency to determine resource needs for clear communication.
• Coordinates translation services including emergency translation.
• Connects participants with community resources for transportation, medical, housing, education and more.
• Supervises ISAP participants in BI Incorporated offices.
• Sets schedules for counseling, court appearances, and access to legal services.
• Coordinates attendance at legal and cultural orientation sessions and additional services evaluations.
• Reviews service plans, conducts risk/needs assessments, and writes progress reports as required.
• Reports program violations timely using established parameters.
• Performs home visits to verify residences per contract.
• Provides emergency counseling when needed.
