Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Human Resources Specialist in Rolla, KS. You will provide day-to-day HR support for about 400 employees across live operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and HRIS, and compliance documentation.

You’ll work with site leaders to ensure accurate records, timely service, and adherence to policies, while escalating complex matters to HR leadership. The role demands strong communication and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience in human resources, recruiting, business administration, customer service, or related field.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use applicant tracking, HR information, and other business systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound and objective judgment, communicate effectively, and build productive working relationships.
• Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws; escalates complex matters to HR leadership.
• Responds to routine employee and supervisor questions regarding HR processes, policies, benefits, and programs; provides guidance within established practices.
• Supports recruiting and staffing activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, pre-employment requirements, and hiring documentation.
• Coordinates onboarding and new-employee orientation, including benefits information, required forms, policy acknowledgments, and follow-up activities.
• Assists with routine employee relations matters, documents concerns accurately, and partners with HR leadership on investigations, corrective action, and other complex matters.
• Maintains accurate and timely employee records and HRIS transactions related to hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves, and separations.
