Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Leoti, KS is seeking an HR Specialist to execute and manage HR functions for about 200 employees in live operations. You will handle recruiting, onboarding, benefits, records, and compliance, collaborating with site leadership to deliver HR services aligned with company goals.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, relationship-building, and efficient handling of HR processes in a high-volume environment. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, business administration, customer service, or related field.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HR systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build working relationships.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with policies and employment laws; elevates complex matters to HR leadership.
• Responds to routine HR questions regarding processes, benefits, and programs.
• Supports recruiting and staffing activities including postings, screening, interviews, and documentation.
• Coordinates onboarding and new-employee orientation and benefits information.
• Assists with employee relations matters and HR investigations with leadership support.
• Maintains HR records and HRIS transactions related to hires, transfers, and terminations.
