Job summary

Seaboard Marine in Miami is seeking an HR Assistant with a focus on benefits administration, performance support, and employee relations. You will manage health, dental, vision, and 401(k) programs, assist with leave, workers’ compensation, and training, and help maintain compliant HR records while supporting management across the organization.

The role requires bilingual communication in English and Spanish and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced maritime environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of HR experience or 1 year in an admin role with a HR degree.
• Knowledge of employment laws and employee relations decisions.
• Ability to prepare employee docs including disciplinary actions within 3 months.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish; able to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health and welfare benefits programs and plans.
• Support Leave of Absence and Workers' Compensation processes.
• Coordinate employee relations activities and onboarding/orientation.
• Assist with performance appraisal processes and training sessions.
• Ensure HR postings and compliance materials are up to date.
