Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a dedicated Housing Case Manager to support shelter stability and housing goals for people experiencing homelessness. You will perform needs-based assessments, determine eligibility, and provide individualized case management to help clients access safe housing and services.

Responsibilities include securing housing, coordinating with providers, maintaining HMIS/Service Point records, and ensuring ONEHOME enrollment, while upholding ethics and respectful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a closely related field or related experience.
• At minimum, one full year of working with people experiencing homelessness.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish.
• Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance. Reliable and accessible vehicle to transport guests.
• Complete program credentialing process, including criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire and training required by funders and organization.
• Good organizational and planning skills; works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs-based assessments, determine program eligibility, and provide case management to support shelter stability and housing goals.
• Assist participants in securing and maintaining housing, including determining rental amounts, recruiting, and mediating with landlords.
• Collaborate with community providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored support services.
• Maintain accurate records in Service Point and HMIS; ensure timely data entry and reporting per grant requirements.
• Administer Coordinated Entry Standard Assessments and ensure participant enrollment in ONEHOME.
• Develop and monitor housing-focused services and mentor staff on best practices.
