Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is hiring a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to work 100% onsite at a Wilmington, NC hospital on a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. You will connect uninsured patients to Medicaid and other programs and guide them through applications face-to-face.

As the liaison between patients, hospital staff and government agencies, you’ll document cases in the MPower system, provide compassionate bilingual support in English and Spanish, and strive to meet

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish for patient interactions.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Able to multitask and handle fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with hospital programs and government-assisted options is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside for eligibility.
• Complete and follow through on applications.
• Document cases accurately in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
• Coordinate with hospital staff, case managers and government agencies.
• Manage calls and track enrollment/renewal paperwork.
• Maintain timely contact with applicants and agencies.
• Arrange transportation and request home visits when needed.
• Attend trainings and adhere to protocols.
