Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through Medicaid and other financial assistance programs. This onsite role places you in patient rooms and at bedside, providing empathetic, bilingual support and navigating complex programs.

The Advocate will screen patients, assist with applications, document thoroughly, and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure timely enrollment and follow-up.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent English and Spanish required to communicate with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to identify eligibility for federal, state, and county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
• Attend ongoing trainings on government programs and hospital policies.
• Maintain timely contact with applicants and relevant agencies.
