Shriners Children's Texas is seeking a part-time Switchboard Operator / Receptionist to manage the main hospital switchboard, direct calls, and greet visitors, vendors, and patients in a courteous manner.

Requirements include bi-lingual English/Spanish and a High School diploma or GED, with at least two years of receptionist experience preferred. HIPAA and security compliance are essential throughout daily duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer the hospital switchboard promptly and direct calls to the proper party or paging staff.
• Greet visitors and staff courteously, directing them to proper personnel while ensuring HIPAA and security compliance.
• Issue visitor passes and provide clear instructions on hospital rules and regulations.
• Announce overhead pages promptly and accurately.
• Accept non-monetary donations and assist in moving them to appropriate areas.
• Record donor name, time, and details in the Security rounds log book.
• Accept monetary donations and deliver sealed envelopes to the Business Office.
• Document donor name, time and amount donated in the Security rounds log book.
