Job summary

VARIETY CARE INC in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Patient Service Representative I (bilingual English/Spanish) for our front desk. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect patient information, and handle payments at check-out while ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include updating electronic medical records, verifying balances, and providing courteous service in a fast-paced environment. One or more years of clerical or customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to enter data and basic keyboarding.
• Ability to work with the public.
• Confidential information handling and trustworthiness.
• Able to work in a busy and stressful environment.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones at the reception window and schedules appointments.
• Obtains required information and documentation from patients at check-in.
• Updates patient information, including insurance, address, phone, and DOB.
• Updates and maintains electronic medical records.
• Schedules appointments in the EMR system.
• Posts charges and collects payments at check-out and verifies balances.
• Provides back-up coverage for Front Office Telephone Operators.
• Maintains waiting area order and follows HIPAA guidelines.
