Responsibilities

• Answers telephones, schedules appointments, obtains patient information, and prepares charts for examination.
• Collects and secures payments at patient check-out.
• Updates electronic medical records and schedules in the EMR.
• Posts charges and payments at check-out; balances daily transactions.
• Maintains waiting area order and assists custodial staff as needed.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and Variety Care policies.
